USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service presents a free webinar on organic livestock, presented by NCAT Sustainable Agriculture Specialists Ann Baier, Lee Rinehart, and Linda Coffey. They will provide an overview of the goals and methods of certified organic production of livestock including dairy, beef, sheep and goats, poultry and minor species. They will also discuss the goals and methods of organic animal agriculture, the regulations to follow, where to find official regs and documents, major issues in transitioning and maintaining organic status, managing livestock without the use of prohibited substances, and the challenges and issues of marketing organic animal products.
